db1games is a website made by me (James Mason) to showcase my amazing games.
It was set up on the 29th July 2004.
All material is created by me, unless stated otherwise.
This site is optimised for 1024x768 px screen resolution on Internet Explorer (although it may work on other settings).
If you have stylesheets disabled, this site will not look all prettiful and nice.
If you have javascript disabled, some of the sections of this site will not work properly.

   Coin Collector uploaded... download it from the Games page!

10/12/2004:
   I messed about with stuff for a bit today so that you can access the blog from any page and so the headers are in an external javascript file so I don't have to write everything out again all the time.

   I stuck in a drop-down box navigation on the games pages so you can go from one game page to another.

   I messed about with the appearance of the site a bit using css on an external sheet, for example Internet Explorer users should be able to see a coloured scrollbar.

   I finally added something - and it was only the search function (up at the top), but at least I haven't totally forgotten about this site.

10/10/2004:
   I updated the Tic Tac Toe game with a few new features (like score keeping). Check the readme file for instructions and updates.

   Okay, so maybe I haven't updated as much as I'd planned... but oh well. I have finally added something - a text-based version of Tic Tac Toe (yes I know I already have a DarkBASIC version on this site, but I am just learning C++ and thought I should start with something really easy).

31/07/2004:
   Yay - more Breakout updates! There are now 12 levels overall (more coming soon), and I have figured out the problem with the powerups, so now there are, in some of the later levels, GREEN BLOCKS. If you hit these, a green ball appears and drops quickly to the bottom of the screen (it does now, at least - it wouldnt move at all before). If you catch the green ball, you get an extra life. I have also added ORANGE BLOCKS, which take two hits to destroy. If anyone has any more suggestions, please email me at demonsbreathboss@hotmail.com.

   I am currently trying to update my breakout game, but have run into a few minor setbacks (a euphemism for im stuck). Coming soon - green blocks will give you powerups... eventually... hopefully... :P

   After about 4 hours continuous work, I have successfully added 8 new levels to my breakout game (it only had one level before). Unfortunately this meant I had to rewrite quite a large part of the game before I could add in any new levels. I also added a Highest Level function, which tells you what the highest level you have ever reached was. To go with this, there are some extra files; a .dat for storing your highest level and a program called 'lvlreset.exe', for use if you want to reset your highest level score. The final addition was the GREY BLOCK which can not be broken.
